Abstract
Measured data was collated from several sources:
-Hourly historical meteorological data downloaded from ECCC website https://climate.weather.gc.ca/historical_data/search_historic_data_stations_e.html?searchType=stnName&timeframe=1&txtStationName=moose+jaw&searchMethod=contains&optLimit=yearRange&StartYear=1840&EndYear=2020&Year=2020&Month=11&Day=8&selRowPerPage=25
-Physical and chemical variables provided by Buffalo Pound Water Treatment Plant (Limited access – provided for a specific research purpose only)
-Physical and chemical variables provided by WSA (Limited access – provided for a specific research purpose only)
-Hydrological data provided by WSA (Limited access – provided for a specific research purpose only)
-Hydrology data downloaded from EC Water Office website ( https://wateroffice.ec.gc.ca/search/historical_results_e.html?search_type=station_number&station_number=05JG004&start_year=1850&end_year=2020&minimum_years=&gross_drainage_operator=%3E&gross_drainage_area=&effective_drainage_operator=%3E&effective_drainage_area= )
-Global climate model spatial data from the GLOBALWATER datastore share
Purpose
For modelling water quality scenarios of Buffalo Pound Lake, an impounded lake providing the water for approximately 25% of the Saskatchewan population. Scenarios look at water diversion schemes and climate change.
