Abstract

Workshop on Parameterization of Lakes in Numerical Weather Prediction and
Climate Modeling
What: The workshop, focusing on the parameterization of lakes in atmospheric models,
brought together researchers from atmospheric physics and from neighboring
disciplines such as physical limnology, inland water remote sensing, and hydrology.
Forty-two participants attended the workshop from research laboratories and
universities worldwide distributed and discussed various aspects of the lake–
atmosphere feedbacks and the interaction of lakes with regional and global climate.
