Dataset Title
Ajax East and West storm sewers and Richmond Hill stormwater pond (Greater Toronto Area) water chemistry monitoring (2020-2022)
Dataset DOI
https://doi.org/10.25976/nwln-l648
Abstract
The data presented here are from just under two years of intensive sampling of stormwater in two sewersheds in Ajax and a stormwater pond in Richmond Hill. The sampled stormwater was then analyzed for a suite of chemistry parameters to give information about: the major anions, major cations, phosphorus (P) speciation (dissolved reactive P, total dissolved P, total P), dissolved organic and inorganic carbon, electrical conductivity, pH, nitrogen speciation (ammonium, nitrate, nitrite), total suspended solids, and road salt ions (sodium, chloride). This sampling was done in collaboration with the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority and the City of Richmond Hill as part of a Natural Science and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) Strategic Partnerships Grant. The other organizations that supported the collection of this data by supporting site set up and/or site access were: the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority and the City of Richmond Hill.
